Empowering Women

Making up half the world’s population and yet representing a staggering 70% of the world’s poor, we live in a world in which women living in poverty face significant inequalities. From lack of education to poor nutrition, lack of job opportunities and lower wage employment, women are against significant odds.

In developing countries these numbers increase. Women face challenges their entire lives as they strive to break the cycle of poverty and build a life of self-reliance.

Pearls with Purpose is pro-humanity. We firmly believe that empowering a woman is the essential element to achieving long-term self-reliance.

We work with women-owned co-ops in developing countries, offering a hand-up not a hand-out. With jewelry and vocational training, business development and personal mentoring women are creating their own success. Their own personal dignity.

Our programs provide continued mentoring and support as these newly educated artisans develop new products and seek for opportunities of growth.
